Housing Options During Your
Sabbatical at SAT
Sabbatical at SAT provides
a variety of housing options in the Bay Area. Participants are encouraged to choose
the living environment that best suits their needs.

St. Albert's - Home of SAT
Some participants choose the SAT residence at St. Albert Priory, the home of SAT.
Surrounded by lovely grounds, the Priory is conveniently located two blocks from
BART, the transit system connecting the East Bay with San Francisco. Single,
furnished bedrooms with basins and common bathroom facilities are available for women and
men. Residents enjoy the use of a spacious lounge and kitchenette. A
dining room for residents offers full food service.
The Priory provides bedspreads, towels
and blankets as well as the free use of washing machines and dryers. Phones are also available in each of the rooms, but participants are responsible for contracting and paying for their specific phone connection service they desire. We encourage the use of phone cards. A few computers are available along with wireless connection. Free parking is available on the grounds. 2008 semester is $3,980 and for the Winter Spring, 2009 Semester
is $3,980.
SAT has a limited number of furnished apartments available. Rent for an apartment varies,
usually between $600 and $900 per month. Leases are for six or twelve months.
Room and board in a rectory with no obligations is available for $900 monthly. Those living in a rectory are responsible for their own cooking. Food is provided.
The Director of Admissions works with participants individually to assist them in
locating and arranging for the housing situation that will be most supportive of renewal.
