Who Chooses
Sabbatical at SAT?
The ParticipantsTHE
PEOPLE who choose Sabbatical at SAT -- mid-life
and beyond, women and men, lay persons, religious and
priests -- bring a wealth of ministerial experience with them. They are teachers,
nurses, volunteers, pastors, administrators, and those who do it all in the missions.
Often they come weary; sometimes confused; always they are hopeful! They seek
to enhance their old ministries or they look for new ways to serve.

SAT participants are mature Christians from around the world. Initially a diverse
group, SAT participants come to know themselves and one another more deeply and to
appreciate the gifts each person brings. They relax; they
explore new ideas and
play and worship together. They explore new insights about their spirituality and
theology and ministry. Renewed, they return to their previous ministry or respond to
new challenges. They are salt for the earth.
